Description for B&B:
Welcome to your ideal retreat for rejuvenation! Our aim was to establish five bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, embodying a "country chic" and tranquil aesthetic. We've utilized as many of the original late 18th-century materials as possible to preserve the tower house's authentic style. The ground floor has been transformed into a cozy living area, showcasing a beautifully highlighted chestnut frame through open space and thoughtful lighting. Each room boasts its own unique character and offers stunning views of the natural surroundings, inviting guests to pause and reflect. Our common areas are designed to be warm and spacious communal spaces where you can cook, dine, and unwind by the wood stove. Whether you’re lounging on the sofa, enjoying the fire, admiring the views of the sea, mountains, and nature, or gathering around the communal table for games, The Scontra invites you to experience moments of happiness.
OUR INSPIRATION: With 24 years of experience organizing the Moita Cello Meetings, we are proud residents of the picturesque village of Moita. We’ve created eco-friendly accommodations in the "Albergo Diffuso" style, driven by our desire to offer lodging that fosters connections with locals and promotes Corsican culture in all its forms.
This commitment to quality tourism development addresses two key goals: enhancing a collective approach among service providers (including pork processors, beekeepers, goat farmers, market gardeners, a mountain guide, a sculptor, etc.) around shared values and boosting the ecotourism marketing position. It also supports a sustainable development project where tourism plays a central role in generating new resources.
OUR OFFER AND MARKET POSITIONING: Our goal is to provide an original, appealing, and comfortable experience while respecting and preserving the cultural, rural, and historical heritage. We highlight the unique potential of "Pieve di a Serra" through responsible and sustainable tourism principles.
Our accommodation includes:
- A main house, A SCONTRA, featuring a 45 m² master suite, two bedrooms, a fireplace, toilet, and bathroom.
- Four independent bedrooms, each with a toilet and bathroom.
- A nearly 50 m² meeting space in the main house for serving breakfasts, two meals per week, and facilitating receptions and exchanges.
- Five rooms in local homes (current census).
- Weekly rentals during the high season and a minimum of three-day stays during the low season.
For pricing and availability, please contact us.
We also offer a "Discovery of Corsican Gastronomy" meal package, featuring two meals per week that showcase local producers and expertise, priced at €50 per meal per person, all-inclusive.
Our accommodations cater to:
- Hiking enthusiasts interested in agrotourism and regional products.
- Thematic training on market gardening, local cuisine, or pottery.
- Artists seeking residencies.
- Families in search of tranquility.
- Groups engaging in nature activities like fishing and hunting.
The reception and rooms emphasize the authenticity and charm of the place while ensuring a high level of comfort.
