Welcome to "Au fil de l'eau", a delightful 17th-century cottage that has been completely renovated and is nestled in a picturesque setting just a few kilometers away from the City of Carcassonne and the Canal du Midi, both of which are UNESCO World Heritage sites.Situated at the entrance to Montolieu, a charming village known for its love of books, this characterful cottage is perched on the banks of a river, offering a truly enchanting experience. The cozy living/dining room boasts a fireplace and a convertible sofa, while the fully equipped kitchen features a beautifully carved stone vault and a large bay window that opens onto a sunny 30m2 terrace, providing a breathtaking view of the river and the garden.
The cottage comprises two double bedrooms, one with a comfortable 1.60m bed and the other with a cozy 1.40m bed. The bathroom is adorned with an authentic bathtub and an Italian shower, along with a separate WC.
Enjoy the convenience of free WIFI, a barbecue on the terrace, and a game of petanque with the provided balls. To cool off, take a dip in the swimming pool or try your hand at trout fishing right on the premises. Additionally, a municipal swimming pool and tennis courts are located just 1km away.
