Description for B&B:

Queens Escape, located in Martel, France, is both a charming bed & breakfast and a stunning wedding venue. This exquisite property, known as Château de La Tuilerie, boasts a rich history as it was constructed in 1820 by a former mayor of Martel. Its name, Queens Escape, was derived from the remarkable visit of the Belgian Queen and her royal family, who sought refuge here for a remarkable period of four years during World War II. While the king resided in a separate château, this particular estate provided a sanctuary away from the chaos of the era. Today, Queens Escape continues to embody that spirit of tranquility, offering guests a chance to step back in time and indulge in the serenity it provides. The expansive surroundings create a sense of freedom, allowing visitors to truly breathe and unwind.

The regal theme is thoughtfully woven throughout the castle, with each guest room named after a notable queen. Guests can choose from accommodations honoring Margrethe, the Queen of Denmark, or Eleanor of Aquitaine, a former queen of both France and England. Catherine the Great, the brilliant ruler of Russia, Cleopatra, the iconic Queen of the Nile, and Himiko, the former ruler of Japan, also grace the room names. Additionally, the highly anticipated Queen Elizabeth II bridal suite will soon be available, promising an unforgettable experience for those celebrating their special day.
