Description:

Description for B&B:

Welcome to Idiartekoborda, an old seventeenth-century barn that was transformed into a charming farmhouse in 1832 and renovated in 2004. The spacious bedrooms feature exposed beams and stone, each equipped with a private bathroom. Enjoy the tranquility and magnificent view of the ever-changing colors of the Basque mountains. From here, you can admire the famous Mont Hautza and the walls of Iparla. Start your day with an excellent breakfast, lovingly prepared by Sandrine. Her husband, Jean-Paul, will gladly guide you on hiking or mountain biking routes.

Explore the nearby typical village of Baïgorry, just a stone's throw away. Only 50km from the coast, you'll be captivated by the contrasting landscape of the impressive peaks of the vineyard and Iparla Irouleguy. Countless hiking trails are available for all levels, surrounded by forests and the preserved flora and fauna of Iraty Hayri. Just 10km away, you'll find St Jean Pied de Port, located on the road to St Jacques de Compostela via the pass of Roncesvalles. Don't miss the colorful and famous Basque villages of Ainhoa, Espelette, Sare, Itxassou, as well as the lesser-known gems like Banca and Urepel.

Near the Spanish border, indulge in the charm and flavors of the local cuisine. For sports enthusiasts, there's more than just hiking and horseback riding. Experience the thrill of rafting, kayaking, or hydrospeed in Bidarray. The Upper Gorge Soule offers exhilarating canyoning descents. Air sports such as paragliding in Louhossoa, gliders in Itxassou, or hot air ballooning in St. John the Elder are also available. If you enjoy golf, the rustic Epherra golf course in Souraïde is just 20 minutes away. Additionally, there are seven other golf courses along the Basque coast, and the beautiful beaches of Biarritz and St Jean de Luz are less than an hour's drive away.
