Le Chateau des Varennes is located 25 km from Toulouse, on the road to Revel (D2), two kilometers after Labastide Beauvoir.
Built in the 16th century with pink bricks by the Toulouse architect Dominique Bachelor, the castle of Varennes is a charming French tradition home that has been passed down through 22 generations of the same family.
The castle is accessed through a tree-lined driveway that leads to a beautiful 18th-century courtyard in the shape of a horseshoe. Two flights of stairs, adorned with stone cherubs, lead to the main building.
Upon entering, there are two large living rooms on the left and a library room and a married bedroom on the right. A beautiful brick staircase leads to the lower ground floor, where there are two large vaulted rooms, one with a fireplace. On the first floor, there are four bedrooms with bathrooms.
The spacious and bright rooms are decorated with vibrant colors that harmonize with the classic volumes and exposed brick. Each room has a cheerful and charming atmosphere, with canopy beds, daybeds, floral fabrics, and unique wall paintings. The rooms are furnished with a combination of family furniture and antique pieces from flea markets.
On the South side, Chateau des Varennes opens up to a park area with a stunning view of the Lauragais hills and the Pyrenees in the distance. Below, there is a south-facing pool overlooking the surrounding countryside and the paddock, providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
