Description for B&B:

The house's walls were an important part of the fortifications during the Middle Ages, and one of the openings functions as a loophole. This house beautifully combines tradition and modernity. The traditional aspect is seen in the ocher stone walls, exposed wooden beams, and the arched window in the common room, all reflecting a history that spans over 500 years. On the other hand, the house also embraces modernity with its well-equipped living room. The kitchen area includes a fridge-freezer, dishwasher, 4 induction hotplates, combined grill-microwave oven, while the dining area features a table and 4 chairs made of Altuglas. The living area is furnished with a 2-seater sofa, ottoman, nesting tables, and an adjustable flat screen TV. Additionally, the house offers a bedroom with a cozy double four-poster bed measuring 140 x 190 cm, and a spacious bathroom with a sink, shower cabin, and toilet.

Description for Gite

Welcome to our beautiful appart-house JACQUOU, located in the enchanting medieval village of Beynac and Cazenac, which has been honored as the 7th most stunning village in all of France.

This charming getaway offers a cozy living space of 40 m², consisting of two rooms and a spacious bathroom. As you enter Jacquou, you will be captivated by the majestic sight of the castle situated atop a magnificent limestone cliff, standing over 150 meters high. The castle's remarkable architecture transports you back to the 12th century, reminiscent of the noble barons of Beynac.

To reach Jacquou, you will follow the ancient paved path that leads to the castle, adding to the sense of history and tradition. The walls of our house were once an integral part of the medieval ramparts, and you can even spot one of the original openings that served as a defensive mechanism. In autumn 2012, the house underwent a meticulous renovation, striking a perfect balance between preserving its rich heritage and incorporating modern comforts.

The essence of tradition can be felt throughout the house, with the warm ocher stone walls, exposed wooden beams, and the charming pointed window in the common room. However, we have also embraced modernity to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible.

The living area features a fully equipped KITCHEN, complete with a refrigerator-freezer, dishwasher, induction cooking stove with four burners, a combined oven grill-microwave, and a delightful dining area furnished with an Altuglas table and four chairs. Sit back and relax in the inviting LIVING AREA, which includes a cozy two-seater sofa, a practical pouf, nesting tables, and a flat-screen TV for your entertainment.

The bedroom offers a peaceful retreat with a comfortable double bed measuring 140 x 190 cm, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The highlight of the house is the spacious bathroom, featuring a sink, a luxurious spa-like shower cabin, and a toilet.

We invite you to experience the perfect blend of history, charm, and contemporary living at our appart-house JACQUOU.
