The Montcalm valley and its surrounding area offer a wide range of activities for both young and old. From adventurous pursuits such as climbing, canyoning, caving, and mountain biking, to more relaxed activities like hiking, horseback riding, and balneotherapy, there is something for everyone. Additionally, during the winter season, skiing, tobogganing, snowshoeing, and sleigh rides are available. Visitors can also enjoy unique experiences like cani-hiking, cave and castle visits, and much more. I will make sure to provide you with all the best recommendations for your stay.

Situated on the banks of the Saleix, the stream provides a refreshing and pleasant environment, especially during the hot summer months. The gentle sound of the flowing water creates a soothing atmosphere, allowing you to leave the hustle and bustle behind and fully relax on your vacation.

Although there are several car parks near the house, the cottage can be easily reached by taking a short walk through the charming old stone streets of the historic district known as "Le Barri." This name originates from the fortifications that once surrounded this part of the town. The absence of cars in the immediate vicinity makes this cottage particularly suitable for families with children or anyone seeking a peaceful getaway.

Numerous activities are available in close proximity to the lodge. The village is renowned for being the starting point of many hiking trails and is conveniently located near the GR10, a famous hiking trail that spans France from the Atlantic to the Mediterranean coast, following the Pyrenees mountain range.

Located on the first floor, this charming gite offers a cozy living room furnished with a TV for your entertainment. Adjacent to the living room is the first single bedroom, providing breathtaking views of the mountains and the serene stream flowing in front of the house.

Ascending the stairs to the second floor, you will discover the second single bedroom. The shower/bathroom is conveniently connected to this room, ensuring ease and comfort during your stay.

To top it off, the double bedroom occupies a prime position at the front of the house, boasting a balcony that offers a magnificent panorama of the valley, encompassing the surrounding hills and majestic mountains.

Step outside and directly in front of the house, you will find a delightful terrace equipped with a table, bench, parasol, and barbecue. Its convenient proximity to the house makes it an ideal spot for al fresco dining. Immerse yourself in the tranquil atmosphere created by the nearby creek's soothing sounds and the refreshing breeze, providing a perfect sanctuary from the summer heat.

For nature enthusiasts, a short ascent up the steps beside the house will lead you to the forest trails, opening up a multitude of possibilities for enchanting walks throughout the valley.
