Description for B&B:

The Dunedin is a charming Victorian house built in 1886. It has received an AA 4-Star rating and offers 8 beautifully furnished bedrooms. Each room is equipped with a modern en-suite shower, wash basin, and WC. Additional amenities include a Freeview digital colour TV, radio alarm, hair dryer, cooling fan, and tea/coffee making facilities.

Located on a scenic avenue that leads to the seafront, The Dunedin provides free and unrestricted parking on both sides of Alexandra Road and the surrounding streets. Despite its peaceful location on the outskirts of town, the center and seafront are just a short walk away. This makes Dunedin the perfect base for exploring the numerous pubs, restaurants, and attractions that Penzance has to offer.

Guests can enjoy a delicious breakfast in the bright and airy dining room, located on the lower ground floor. The menu includes a selection of cereals, chilled fruit juices, and cooked-to-order main courses to cater to various tastes and preferences.

For relaxation, the Guest Lounge on the upper ground floor provides comfortable seating, including sofas and armchairs. Guests can indulge in activities such as watching TV, reading the provided books, newspapers, magazines, or tourist literature, or simply taking a nap.

To ensure convenience, we offer free and unrestricted access to the internet through our Free Hot-Spot Wireless Broadband (WIFI) network. Guests will need a laptop with a radio card, appropriate virus protection, and a firewall. Please request a scratchcard from us to reveal the password for network access.

Please note that The Dunedin is a strictly non-smoking establishment. Penzance is an ideal destination for a holiday. The Penwith Peninsula is renowned for its hidden coves, sandy beaches, and ancient Celtic historical sites, all easily accessible from Penzance by car, train, or coach trips starting from the town's bus station. More adventurous visitors can engage in activities such as sailing, windsurfing, or hiking along the picturesque coastal footpaths known for their rugged beauty, wildflowers, and occasional dolphin sightings.

The famous Minack open-air theater, located on the cliffs at Porthcurno, offers delightful evenings watching a variety of plays and musicals. Visitors can also take a day trip to the peaceful Isles of Scilly, with options to travel by helicopter or the SS Scillonian departing from Penzance.

Lastly, don't miss the opportunity to visit St. Michael's Mount, a stunning island rising out of Mounts Bay. Owned by the National Trust, it is a must-see attraction. Guests can access the island by boat or, during low tide, by walking across the causeway.
