Welcome to Simply Canvas, where you can experience the luxury of glamping or self-catering cottages/gites with a beautiful enclosed swimming pool, surrounded by picturesque countryside views near Bergerac in Southwest France. We are excited to announce that our booking season for 2017 is now open.Our 6 safari tents offer a unique glamping experience, complete with private bathrooms and comfortable boxspring beds, adding an element of fun to your camping adventure. Alternatively, you can choose one of our three self-catering cottages or gites, including a spacious option that you won't want to leave. All of our accommodations are situated on our 12.5 acre property in the heart of the countryside, offering breathtaking views and, of course, a large enclosed swimming pool for all guests to enjoy. We are located on the border of the Lot et Garonne and Dordogne departments in the Aquitaine region of Southwest France, conveniently close to Bergerac. Our region is often compared to Tuscany in France due to its stunning rolling hills, sunflower fields, charming wine chateaus, meandering rivers, historic bastide villages, scenic walking trails, and magnificent castles.
Amidst this natural beauty, we warmly invite you to enjoy a wonderful holiday with us. It's a time for your family to create lasting memories, for children to make new friends, for delightful outings, and to indulge in our famous delicious dinners, made with locally sourced ingredients, including vegetables from our own garden. Description for Gite
All accommodations at Simply Canvas come with breakfast included.Stone B&B Cottage:
Experience the idyllic charm of staying at the Stone B&B Cottage at Simply Canvas. This beautiful cottage is constructed using stones from our region and is adorned with lovely natural details. Inside, you will find a cozy living room and a small kitchen. A staircase leads to the double bedroom in the mezzanine, along with a second sitting area. Downstairs, there is another bedroom for two children, a spacious shower room, and a toilet. With a total area of approximately 800 square feet, this cottage offers ample space for families or couples. Outside, there is a private terrace with sun chairs, or you can relax under the plum tree for some extra shade while taking in the view of the fields or enjoying a good book.
White B&B Cottage:
Indulge in a delightful stay at the lovely White B&B Cottage in Simply Canvas. This beautifully decorated and light-filled house spans approximately 700 square feet, offering a bright and airy atmosphere. The cottage features a small living room with a compact kitchen, a staircase leading to the double bedroom in the mezzanine, and another double bedroom, separate bathroom, and separate toilet downstairs. Outside the double doors, you will find a charming terrace with a couch and chairs. Additionally, we have created an extra area with sun beds behind the house, perfect for soaking up the afternoon sunshine. Guests also have access to our entire 12.5 acre property.
Big Holiday Home:
If you crave luxury and ample space, our large holiday home is the perfect choice. This self-catering accommodation was once the "chai" on our property, where wine was produced. Now, it has been fully renovated into a spacious and light-filled property spanning 1500 square feet. Upon arrival, guests are often amazed by the beauty of this home, even surpassing their expectations based on the website photos. The holiday home features a large open living room and kitchen with a TV and DVD player. From the living room, you can step onto a large veranda with glass doors all around, creating a perfect place to enjoy your morning newspaper. The holiday home also boasts its own private garden with a stone BBQ, outdoor dining table, and sun chairs. Inside, there is a double bedroom, a separate toilet, and a special room for children where they can sleep in the remains of old stone wine barrels. This room is ideal for 2-3 children.
Safari Tents:
Our safari tents offer a small-scale and intimate experience, with a total of 6 tents, each featuring a unique decoration. One tent is slightly separate for those seeking extra privacy, while the other 5 tents are spread across a field of 1.25 acres, offering superb views over the fields. Each tent includes a veranda, privacy, and comfortable beds. As a special touch, each tent has its own bathroom just a few steps away.

- 2 persons: €85 per night, €500 for a week (arrival day can be any day, minimum stay of 2 nights)
- 2-4 persons: €105 or €125 per night, €600 for a week (arrival day can be any day, minimum stay of 2 nights)
Stone B&B Cottage (including breakfast):
- 2 persons: €90 per night, €550 for a week (arrival day can be any day, minimum stay of 2 nights)
- 2-4 persons: €110 (3p) or €130 (4p) per night, €650 for a week (arrival day can be any day, minimum stay of 2 nights)
Holiday Home (including breakfast):
- 2-4 persons: €150 per night, €850 for a week (arrival day can be any day, minimum stay of 2 nights)
Prices for July and August:

- 2-4 persons: €850 for a week (arrival day is Saturday, minimum stay of 1 week)

Take the ring road towards Périgueux/Libourne and enter the highway (toll road) just before Libourne. Take exit 12 for Ste Foy la Grande and once in Ste Foy, take the main road towards Duras (D708). In the village of Margueron, turn left towards Miramont. After about 5km, turn left at the sign for Briquet/Bonac. Continue for about 220m until you reach the white gate (on your right) and you have arrived.
From Brive la Gaillarde:
Take the highway towards Bordeaux/Bergerac. Take exit 12 for Ste Foy la Grande and once in Ste Foy, take the main road towards Duras (D708). In the village of Margueron, turn left towards Miramont. After about 5km, turn left at the sign for Briquet/Bonac. Continue for about 200m until you reach the white gate (on your right) and you have arrived.
