'Riad Dades, a stunning kasbah that dominates the entire Dades Valley, offers rooms with windows opening up to the breathtaking views of the valley. Our traditional construction methods include the use of adobes, mud and straw bricks dried by the sun, to build thin walls, pillars, arches, and decorative elements. Additionally, we employ the pisé or rammed soil technique, where damp earth is compacted in wooden formwork to create sturdy walls with unique patterns created by the removal of the formwork. Both the interior and exterior walls and roofs of Riad Dades are coated with a mixture of mud and straw, which is renewed every 6 years for the walls and every 2 years for the terraces. The ceilings of our riad are crafted with reeds on wooden beams made from aspen tree, and for added beauty, bamboo stems are used to create intricate geometric designs. Directions
To reach the riad in Ait Ibrirne village, follow these directions:
- If you are coming from Tinghir, cross the Oued Dades bridge in Boumalne Dadès and continue on the N10 main road (Ouarzazate to Errachidia).
- At the roundabout just before Boumalne Dadès, take the secondary road N704 (Boumalne Dadès to Msemrir).
- The riad is located 9 km from this roundabout in the beautiful village of Ait Ibrirne. The GPS coordinates are 31.436579°N, -6.010036°E.
If you are traveling by public transport:
- Boumalene Dadès bus station is only 9 km away from Ait Ibrirne village, where the riad is located.
- If you provide us with your arrival time, we can arrange to pick you up from the bus station.
- At the bus station, there are two types of taxis available. Mini-buses, usually Mercedes Benz 207 or 307, can accommodate up to 15 passengers. Grand taxis, mainly Dacia Lodgy cars, can accommodate six passengers plus the driver.
- The cost of the journey is 5 dhs per person. Just inform the taxi driver that you are going to Riad Dades, and they will help you reach us.
If you are arriving at Ouarzazate airport:
- The airport is 130 km away from the riad, and it takes approximately 2 hours by private car or taxi.
- The cost of a taxi from the airport is 3 € per person.
- Many buses operate from Ouarzazate to Boumalene Dadès. Let us know your arrival time, and we can arrange to pick you up from Boumalene Dadès bus station.
