Description:

Description for Gite

Welcome to our charming cottage situated on a spacious plot of 3,500m², alongside our main house and an independent guest room. Originally an old barn, this cozy cottage offers a combined living room and kitchen on the ground floor, along with a bathroom and separate toilet. Upstairs, you'll find two interconnecting rooms, one with a comfortable double bed and the other with bunk beds for children, along with an additional bed.

Outside, there is a lovely garden area where you can enjoy your meals while taking in the breathtaking mountain landscape.

Please note that we do not allow pets, and we accept payment by checks.

At the end of your stay, there are a few additional charges that are not included in the rental price. These include a city tax of 0.34 euros per person per day (children under 5 are exempt), as well as any additional power consumption beyond the standard usage.

We provide a sufficient stock of wood for the stove, free of charge, to add a cozy atmosphere to your evenings. However, please be aware that the main heating source is electric.

If needed, we offer optional linen rentals, including sheets for single beds (10 euros), double beds (15 euros), and towels (5 euros per person). Payment for linen rentals can be made upon arrival.

Upon departure, you have the option to either clean the cottage yourself or pay a fee of 50 euros for us to handle the spring cleaning.

The Baronnies region has been classified as a zone for remarkable landscapes by Natura 2000. It is home to a Cistercian abbey, a magnificent gulf, excellent local cheese producers, and numerous charming villages that seem frozen in time. For us, it is a magical and rejuvenating place.

In the surrounding area, the town of Lies is located 8 km from Bagnère-de-Bigorre. This charming spa town offers a delightful farmers market every Saturday, a spa center called Aquensis, a cinema, a theater, and a swimming pool. Additionally, you'll find the renowned ski resort "TOURMALET - LA MONGIE BAREGES" just 20 kilometers away, as well as the Pic du Midi de Bigorre (the ship of the stars) and the city of Lourdes. Our valleys offer numerous opportunities for medium and high mountain hikes.

We look forward to welcoming you to our cottage and ensuring you have a memorable stay in this enchanting region.

Warm regards,
Sandra and Eric
