Welcome to our beautifully renovated 19th Century stone cottage, a cozy and charming accommodation that offers you comfort and character. Nestled in a tranquil hamlet near the river Vienne, in the heart of the picturesque Charente countryside, our cottage is the perfect getaway.

The surrounding area is renowned for its rolling landscapes, enchanting villages, and medieval chateaux, making it an idyllic part of France. Just a short 10-minute stroll across the river Vienne, you'll find our local village of Exideuil, where you can find amenities such as a bakery (essential for your morning croissant), a pharmacy, a grocery store, and bars.

For those seeking an authentic slice of traditional French life, the Charente is the place to be. The leisurely pace of life invites you to join the locals for a glass of pineau, a delightful blend of local wine fortified with cognac, as you observe the world go by.

If you're looking for a more active holiday, there are plenty of options for day trips to suit all ages and interests. Explore the beautiful old towns of Confolens, Angouleme, and Cognac, famous for its cognac houses. Immerse yourself in the rolling countryside, picturesque rivers perfect for kayaking, and dense forests with walking and cycling tracks waiting to be explored. Take a refreshing swim in the Charente lakes, many of which have lifeguard supervision and beach facilities. And don't forget about the golf courses, chateaux, zoos, and Roman villas that are waiting to be discovered - two weeks simply won't be enough time.

If you're traveling by air, we are conveniently located only 30 minutes away from Limoges Airport. Alternatively, if you prefer to drive, it's about a 5-hour journey from the ferry ports of Caen or St Malo. If you choose to travel with Brittany Ferries, we can provide you with a discount code.
