MiKa-GaLe is a charming 3-bedroom longere located in the peaceful village of Ploerdut in the beautiful Morbihan Region of Brittany. Situated on 1.75 hectares of private garden and land, this cozy accommodation comfortably sleeps 6 people, with the possibility of special arrangements for larger groups.

Surrounded by rolling green hills and tranquil wooded valleys carved out by the Ellé, Scorff, and Aër rivers, MiKa-GaLe offers a serene rural setting. The surrounding countryside is perfect for outdoor activities such as walking, running, cycling, bird-watching, photography, and painting. The area is also rich in historical landmarks, churches, chapels, and medieval villages that transport you back in time. Ploërdut village, with its medieval church, boulangerie, crêperie, bars, eatery, and self-service shop, is within walking distance of the house.

Within a short drive, you'll find a plethora of interesting places to explore, including Chapelle St. Barbe, St. Fiacre, Le Faouet market hall, Les Rochers Du Diable for white water kayaking, Vallee-du-Scorff for a picturesque picnic spot, and Lac de Guerladan for boating on its tree-shaded beach. Local street markets, such as Hennebont, Rostrenen, and Vannes, offer a taste of the region's vibrant atmosphere.

The nearest town, Guemene Sur Scorff, is just 10 minutes away and provides a charming historic center with a weekly market, bars, restaurants, banks, post office, cinema, traditional shops, and supermarkets. Fresh seafood is available twice a week from a local truck. MiKa-GaLe is more than just a holiday accommodation; it is a welcoming home that provides all the amenities to ensure a relaxing and hassle-free stay. The traditional Breton stone longere has been fully renovated while preserving its unique character features, including exposed beams, wooden floors, a stone fireplace, French doors and shutters, gabled windows, and exposed stone work.

The ground floor features a modern fully fitted kitchen equipped with all the necessary appliances, a spacious dining room, and a cozy lounge room with comfortable sofas, a TV/DVD, CD player, and a selection of DVDs, CDs, books, and board games. French doors open to the garden and sun terrace, providing scenic views and easy access for outdoor dining and relaxation. A log wood-burner adds warmth and charm to the space. Additionally, there is a laundry area, utilities room, and a toilet on the ground floor.

Upstairs, the three bedrooms are tastefully decorated and equipped to a high standard. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom with a shower, toilet, and vanity. Two bedrooms have double beds, while the third bedroom has two single beds. There is also a sofa bed in one of the bedrooms, and fold-away beds can be arranged if needed. Magnificent views of the garden and surrounding countryside can be enjoyed from each bedroom. The house is well-insulated and has central heating throughout.

The large garden offers separate areas, including quiet lawned spaces under old apple trees and areas for summer BBQs. It is a perfect playground for children, with plenty of safe and open areas to run, play, and explore. The property also features an orchard with apple, pear, plum, and apricot trees, allowing guests to enjoy the delicious fruits. On-site private parking is available.

Rates for MiKa-GaLe are based on weekly bookings with Saturday change-overs, although shorter stays can be arranged upon request. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure a booking, with the balance of payment and a security/damage deposit due one month before arrival. Rates include a welcome basket of local goodies, all linen and towels, heating, gas, electricity, logs for the wood-burner during the winter season, a 'meet and greet' service by the property manager, and end of stay cleaning. The airports in Brittany, listed in order of proximity, are Lorient, St. Brieuc, Dinard, Brest, and Rennes. After arriving at any of these airports, you will need to drive to the house.

If you are traveling by train from Paris, there are routes available to Rennes, Vannes, and Lorient. From any of these train stations, you will also need to drive to the house.

The drive from Paris Airports to the house takes approximately 5 hours on the motorway, with a toll cost of around 25 Euros.
