This charming residence has been lovingly restored and decorated in a minimal modern style with a touch of the orient. It is the perfect accommodation for a couple or a single person.On the ground floor, you will find a fully equipped kitchen and dining area, catering to those who enjoy cooking. The kitchen features a gas hob, fan oven, dishwasher, washing machine, and fridge. The oak worktop and unpolished marble tile floor add a touch of elegance, while the excellent stainless steel saucepans and top-of-the-range frying pans ensure a pleasant cooking experience. All necessary utensils, attractive crockery, cutlery, and glasses are also provided.
Moving up to the first floor, you will find a living room with a wooden floor. The double doors open up to a peaceful patio at the back of the house, leading to a small garden with a sun terrace. The garden is adorned with vibrant flowers and various herbs. Additionally, there is a BBQ and garden furniture for outdoor enjoyment. The living room is bright and airy, providing a tranquil and comfortable space. Entertainment options include a sky TV, DVD player, stereo, and an excellent collection of books about the local area.
On the second floor, there is a spacious bedroom with a bathroom. The bed is very comfortable and large, featuring an orthopedic mattress. A fan and mosquito net are provided for added comfort. The Egyptian cotton bed linen, power shower, and luxury towels contribute to a luxurious experience.
This residence is a place where you can truly fall in love with France again. Experience the gentle leisurely pace, the stunning countryside, the delectable food and wine, the charming ambiance, and the friendly locals.
Please note that the minimum rental period is one week, starting from Friday to Friday. The residence is located in Badefols, an ancient land of legends. Situated by the banks of the Dordogne, it holds a strategic position between the 'Périgord Pourpre' and the 'Périgord Noir'. This makes it an ideal base for exploring the entire Périgord region.
The residence is situated in a peaceful hamlet just five kilometers east of Lalinde. In Lalinde, you can find a Boulangerie for your fresh bread and croissant needs. There is also an excellent restaurant just a short stroll away, offering a breathtaking view of the river. Additionally, a superb cave sells a variety of local organic wines. The surrounding countryside is perfect for leisurely walks, and there are local markets nearby every day, providing access to wonderful food and wines. A recommended list of restaurants is provided for your convenience.

- Bordeaux: 1.30 hours away. Direct flights are available from Dublin (Aer Lingus), Cork, Edinburgh, Porto, and Bologna (Ryanair), as well as other European connections. Bordeaux, often regarded as France's second city, boasts breathtaking beauty on a smaller scale than Paris.
- St. Emillion: 1.00 hour away. This famous wine region is home to a picturesque town that is worth a visit.
- Sarlat: 40 minutes away. Immerse yourself in the perfectly restored old town, which showcases a blend of medieval and renaissance architecture. Sarlat, the capital of Black Périgord, is renowned for its well-preserved cityscape, including centuries-old buildings and stone walls.
- Domme: 30 minutes away. Perched high above the Dordogne River, Domme offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Unlike many other bastide towns, Domme still retains its original fortified walls and gateways.
