Description:

Description for B&B:

The Seigniory of Gerbe, established in the 16th century, experienced expansion in the 18th century under the ownership of Claude de Guerin de Chermont, an influential figure as an Adviser to the king and President Treasurer of France at Moulins.

By the end of the 18th century, the Seigniory was owned by the esteemed Lord of Racault, Count of Reuilly, who held positions such as Mestre of camp of dragons, Chevalier of the Order of St-Louis, and Lieutenant of the Guards of Monseigneur the Count d'Artois.

An impressive 16-meter long Orangery, situated in the main courtyard, serves as a connection between the two square towers and the round tower. This Orangery boasts five immense windows that allow the sun's rays to filter through, casting a warm glow on the mandarin trees and other citrus fruits throughout the day.

Leading to the court of the Castle is a 400-meter long avenue adorned with lime and plane trees, creating a pleasant pathway for leisurely walks. The court itself is adorned with a basin and a fountain, providing a welcoming space to accommodate guests.
