Description for B&B:

Sylvie and Thierry welcome you to the beautiful countryside of Vellave, where comfort and refinement await you in a serene green setting. The story of "Le Clos des Pierres Rouges" begins with a deep love for the Haute-Loire region. After their many travels, Sylvie and Thierry decided to settle in Rougeac and transform a grand building into luxurious 4-star guesthouses. The seamless blend of old-world charm and contemporary design gives the property a unique elegance and sophistication.

The location of "Le Clos des Pierres Rouges" is truly advantageous, situated between the renowned road of Santiago de Compostela, the picturesque Gorges of Allier, and the fascinating road of the Animal of Gévaudan.

On the ground floor, you will find a spacious living room with a cozy fireplace, connected to the dining room where you can indulge in delicious meals made with local products or enjoy a rich breakfast (upon reservation). The decor is adorned with objects collected from various countries, showcasing the worldly experiences of Sylvie and Thierry.

Upstairs, you can choose from three beautifully themed rooms. The "Tea Time" room features a comfortable double bed and a tastefully decorated ensuite shower room. The "Pondichéry" room is adorned in red and white tones and also offers a double bed. Lastly, the "Vellave" room is accessible for individuals with reduced mobility and boasts a spacious adapted shower room. This charming room also has a covered terrace that provides magnificent views of the Mounts of Margeride and Lozère.

Outside, you can make the most of the expansive grounds and the stunning terrace. Horse riders are also welcome at the property.

Practically speaking, you will find all necessary services and convenience stores in Saint Privat d'Allier, which is approximately 4km away. For leisure activities, there are plenty of options available. The Allier River, just 7km away, is a paradise for fishing enthusiasts and water sports lovers. The area is also ideal for mushroom picking. Walkers on the road to Santiago de Compostela can take advantage of transfers from Saint Privat d'Allier to the bed and breakfast. Hearty picnic baskets can be arranged for your convenience. Lastly, for snow lovers, the small Vernet resort, only 5km away, offers excellent ski slopes and opportunities for snowshoeing adventures. In summary, no matter the time of year, "Le Clos des Pierres Rouges" offers countless reasons to make it your home away from home.
