Welcome to our year-round holiday rental in the beautiful Royan Hill Country of Charente Maritime, located on the right bank of the Gironde estuary. Veronique and Jean-Jacques are delighted to invite you to their cottage in the rural village of Arces-sur-Gironde, just 4 kilometers from the sea. The nearest beaches are only 8 kilometers away.

We provide various amenities for families with babies, including a free baby cot with a 5cm mattress, a bath, bottle warmer, stroller for children aged 0-3 years, baby diapers, and a highchair.

There are plenty of activities and attractions in the Royan region and its surroundings. These include Palmyre zoo, mountain bike trails, spas, hydrotherapy in Saujon, West Indies Jonzac, Rochelle and Franco follies, a renowned 18-hole golf course, karting, marina (with scooter rental and boat trips), tennis, swimming, water sports (sailing school), hiking, fishing, casino, cinema, bars, nightclubs, parks, and children's clubs.

You'll also have the opportunity to explore a wide range of places of interest, such as the historic 1950s town of Royan, the famous Grande Côte in Saint Palais sur Mer, the estuary house in Vaux sur Mer, the troglodyte caves of Meschers, the Fâ archaeological site, the church in Talmont, the oyster parks in Marennes, Oléron island, Île de Ré, Île d'Aix, the citadel of Brouage, the Royal Rope and Pierre Loti house in Rochefort, the giant aquarium in La Rochelle, the Gallo-Roman town of Saintes, the Paléosite St. Cesaire, the city of Pons, the wine route of Medoc, and the UNESCO-declared city of Bordeaux.

Charente-Maritime, the second most visited department in France, offers exceptional villages, cultural heritage sites, and recreational activities, including sailing, hiking, beaches, tours, parks, and spas. Green tourism and natural attractions are also prominent in the area.

You can indulge in the diverse and high-quality cuisine of Charente, along with Pineau, Cognac, Charente wine, and Bordeaux wine. The Wine Route on the left bank of the estuary is a great way to discover these culinary delights.

With approximately 2,600 hours of sunshine per year, our region benefits from a privileged micro-climate.

We offer special rates for curists (people seeking therapeutic treatments) throughout the year, which are 10% lower than the usual price for a stay of 3 consecutive weeks, excluding July and August.

Please note that we accept checks and pets under certain conditions. Linen rental and paid or free services are available. Nearby shops can be found in Arces center (300m) and Cozes (4km), while a market is held in Royan (15km). WiFi internet and phone services are also provided.

During the winter period (October to April), the heating cost is added to the rental price.

We offer practical information booklets about our cottage and local tourism for your convenience.

Le Gite a été parfais pour notre petite famille. 2 Adultes et 2 enfants avec tout confort. Quoi demander de plus car les plages ne sont pas loin et ont pas eu les désagrements du bord de mer avec son affluence.
