Description for Gite

In the city of Maisons-Laffitte, known for its equestrian culture, we offer a fully restored accommodation in the former stables that exudes a distinctly French charm. Whether you're a tourist or a business traveler, you'll appreciate the rare and unique ambiance we have created.

Step inside and you'll be greeted by a courtyard with gray Trianon antique furniture, comfortable chairs, carpets adorning a light wood floor, elegant curtains and bedspreads made from toile de Jouy fabric. The desk is covered in leather, bronze sconces and a crystal chandelier add a touch of sophistication, and the elegant crockery and bed linen made of Egyptian cotton enhance your overall comfort.

We have taken care to provide modern amenities such as a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, oven, extractor hood, espresso machine, refrigerator, freezer, and a separate bedroom with a 160-sized bed. In the living room, there are two additional beds measuring 90cm. Enjoy entertainment on the cable color TV, DVD player, or make use of the printer and wireless internet. Other conveniences include a telephone, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, and vacuum cleaner.

From the nearby train station, just 8 minutes away, you can easily reach Paris either by the RER A (with a 10-minute journey to La Defense and 15 minutes to the Champs Elysées) or by the SNCF, which takes you to Saint Lazare train station in just 20 minutes, conveniently close to department stores like Printemps and Galeries Lafayette.

The RER A also offers direct access to Disneyland. In the city center, a mere 10-minute walk away, you'll find The Grocery Longueil, a renowned delicatessen loved by locals and visitors alike, as well as a supermarket, a discount store, numerous restaurants, and bakeries.

Surrounded by a park designed by Mansart in the 17th century, Maisons-Laffitte is home to many beautiful residences, two of which have been transformed into gourmet restaurants. If you're interested in equestrian activities, you can admire the stables and watch thoroughbreds train around the racetrack. Horseback riding, golfing, and leisurely walks in the nearby forest of Saint Germain en Laye (just 10 minutes away) are also available.

Saint Germain en Laye, located 7km away, is a bustling city with a rich commercial scene. It is the birthplace of Louis XIV and houses a castle built by François the First, as well as the Museum of National Antiquities. From the terrace, spanning 2,400 meters, you can enjoy an exceptional view of Paris.

Versailles, with its magnificent palace, is a short 20km drive away. If you're interested in art, the Claude Monet Foundation in Giverny is also within reach at 62km from the highway.

As third-generation residents of Maisons-Laffitte, and with 35 years of experience in the antiques business, we are passionate about sharing our love for our city, our region, and Paris, often referred to as "the most beautiful city in the world!"
