Our room descriptions:Chapel Room:
This room is very bright and faces the park and chapel from the twelfth century. It features a natural hemp-lime coating in a sienna color, and the floor is made of Scots pine treated with organic oils. The room has a double bed (size 160) and a bright bathroom with a shower. There is also a separate toilet.
Fountain Room:
The Fountain Room is cozy and spacious, offering views of the park, the twelfth-century chapel, and the beautiful stone fountain made of Volvic stone. The room is adorned with natural hemp-lime plaster in yellow-orange-ocher-tan colors, and the chestnut floor is treated with organic oils. It has a grand central double bed (size 160) and a bright bathroom with a bath and a toilet featuring tadelakt plaster.
Swallows Room:
The Swallows Room is very spacious and has a cozy cottage atmosphere. The room is decorated with warm colors and has a pine floor treated with organic oils. It features a double bed (size 160) with the option to add 1-2 extra beds (additional cost of 30 euros per bed, breakfast included). The bathroom has a large corner bath and a toilet.
Serve Room:
The Serve Room is bathed in light pastel shades and offers beautiful views of the Combrailles mountains. The pretty chestnut flooring is treated with hard oils. The room has an "old" style bed (size 140) and a bright bathroom with a shower and a toilet.
Park Room:
The Park Room is very spacious and has an uncluttered atmosphere with jagged lines. It overlooks the park and forest and features a Scots pine floor treated with harsh oils. The room has a double bed (size 160) with the option to add 1 or 2 extra beds (additional cost of 30 euros per bed, breakfast included). The large bathroom has a shower and a bath, and there is a separate toilet.
Our Showroom:
Our large living room has a fireplace and is a place for guests to interact and relax. Adjacent to the living room is a winter garden with regional tourist documentation for guests to explore. We also have a Natron living area with an African atmosphere, providing a private space for guests to read from our regional library books while enjoying the warmth of the fireplace.
Our Immediate Exterior:
Our house is surrounded by a huge stone terrace that overlooks the park and the twelfth-century chapel. Guests can relax on sun loungers or in the shade of the great ash tree, enjoying the peace and quiet while being serenaded by birdsong. We also have a large park with various trees and stone benches, inviting guests to take a leisurely stroll. In addition, we offer fresh vegetables and fruits from our garden for guests to discover and enjoy before joining us for dinner.
Our Distant Exterior:
Leaving the house, guests can access beautiful trails for walking or biking, immersing themselves in the pure and untouched wilderness.
Our Cultural Heritage:
We are located near several notable cultural landmarks, such as Thiers, known as the cutlery capital of the world. Vichy, famous for its mineral water, is also nearby. Clermont-Ferrand, the regional capital, and its volcanic hills are within reach. Additionally, guests can visit the paper mill in Ambert and enjoy a walk in the surrounding area.

Surrounded by a tranquil and unspoiled natural environment, the park lodging offers a serene getaway. Conveniently located just 14 km from the A89, a 15-minute drive from Thiers (renowned as the world capital of cutlery), 30 minutes from Vichy (famed as the queen of spas), and 35 minutes from Clermont-Ferrand (the capital of Auvergne), this property is the perfect place for relaxation, leisurely walks, and exhilarating mountain bike rides (with tracks passing by the nearby fountain). Additionally, there are numerous cultural and tourist activities available in the vicinity.Our cottage proudly holds the 3-ear Gîtes de France label, ensuring that it is equipped with all the necessary modern comforts. The accommodation features a spacious bedroom with a comfortable 160-sized bed, as well as another bedroom with a 140-sized bed and two 90-sized beds. The bathroom is fitted with a convenient shower, while there is a toilet on both the upper and ground floors, the latter including a washbasin. The large kitchen opens onto a beautiful stone terrace overlooking the park and a twelfth-century chapel. The cozy living room boasts a TV, DVD player, and a wood-burning stove with a captivating flame view.
Constructed using natural and ecological materials, such as wood, stone, old floor tiles, hemp wall coatings, and Sienna and Havana lime colors, the cottage exudes a rustic charm. It is fully equipped with modern amenities, including a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer, hob and oven, iron and ironing board, barbecue, and garden furniture, among others.

Directions
If you are coming from Clermont Ferrand on the A89, take EXIT 29 towards Thiers. After the toll, at the roundabout, follow the signs for Vichy for approximately 7 kilometers. Then, take a right at the crossroads onto the D85 towards Saint Victor Montvianeix. After about 500 meters, turn right again and continue on the D64 towards Saint Victor Montvianeix. Along the way, you will pass through the hamlets of Marette and Guesles. After 1.7 kilometers from Guesles, look for the sign for Domaine de Montvianeix and turn left onto the paved road.
If you are coming from Lyon on the A89, take the exit for Saint Remy Durolle (OUT ON 30). After the toll, take the first right towards Palladuc. In Palladuc, take a left onto the D201 and continue for about 3.3 kilometers towards Saint Victor Montvianeix. Then, take a right onto the D64 and always follow the signs for Saint Victor Montvianeix. Be careful when you reach the junction with the D43, as you should stay on the D64 and not go towards Saint Victor Montvianeix. Along the way, you will pass through the small hamlet of Fagot. After 1.2 kilometers from the signpost for Domaine de Montvianeix, turn right onto the paved road.
If you are coming from Vichy on the D906, follow the signs for Thiers. Continue on the D906, passing through Puy Guillaume and Paslieres. After approximately 2 kilometers, turn left onto the D64 towards Saint Remy on Durolle and Saint Victor Montvianeix. After 8 kilometers, you will pass through the hamlets of Marette and Guesles. After 1.7 kilometers from Guesles, leave the D64 and turn left at the signpost for Domaine de Montvianeix. Take the small paved road from there.
