Welcome to la Chavane, an old renovated stone farmhouse located in the beautiful Massif des Bornes-Aravis. Catherine and Benoit are delighted to have you as their guests throughout the year.We offer four comfortable bedrooms, each equipped with private bathrooms and separate toilets. These rooms can accommodate up to three people, while the family room can accommodate up to four. Additionally, guests have access to a spacious lounge area, featuring a large table for gatherings and a cozy reading corner stocked with a variety of books and board games.
Occasionally, we provide dinner at our table d'hôte for groups, but reservations are required.
Located a short distance away, the famous Col de la Forclaz offers breathtaking views of the crystal-clear waters of Lake Annecy. This mountain pass is a popular destination for paragliders, hang gliders, cyclists, and hikers alike.
Whether you prefer gliding through the air, snow, or water, cycling, hiking in the mountains, or simply seeking a tranquil and relaxing environment, la Chavane is the perfect destination for you.

Directions
* If you are coming from Annecy, drive along the eastern shore of the lake and pass through Annecy-le-Vieux, Veyrier du Lac, and Menthon St Bernard. After Echarvines, but before Talloires, take the D42 road towards the Col de la Forclaz / Montmin. Skip Vérel and continue over the Col de la Forclaz, passing through Montmin Chef-Lieu. Around 500 m after Montmin Chef-Lieu, at the corner of the Ferriere hamlet, take the small road opposite direction towards Montmin Plan.
* If you are coming from Ugine / Albertville, follow the signs for Annecy. Go around Faverges Marlens and stay on the D1508 road, which temporarily becomes a 4-way. At the second roundabout after the end of the 4-way, take the D42 road (1st exit) towards Montmin / Col de la Forclaz. Cross Vesonne and begin the ascent to Montmin. In the hamlet of La Ferriere, take the small road on the right into the hairpin turn towards Plan Montmin.
* Once you are on the communal route to Plan Montmin, follow the road for 1.5 km until you reach the top village of Plan Montmin. Continue through the village and you will reach the bottom of Plan Montmin, around 100 m away. The Chavane is the first house on the left side, located in front of a meadow with a small chalet standing at its edge.
